AROTECH RECEIVES ORDERS TO DEVELOP SPECIAL BATTERY CHARGERS FOR UNMANNED AIRCRAFT VEHICLES


Ann Arbor, Michigan, November 18, 2013 - Arotech Corporation (NasdaqGM: ARTX), a provider of quality defense and security products for the military, law enforcement and homeland security markets, announced today that its Battery and Power Systems Division recently received orders to develop special chargers for batteries which power UAVs (Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles). The orders totaled in excess of $700 thousand.

The battery chargers will include unique features that allow for operation in harsh environments and support advanced battery management capabilities including battery testing and refreshing.

"These activities strengthen our market position in powering advanced technologies such as UAVs," commented Arotech's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Robert S. Ehrlich. "The chargers will be used for batteries in all types of UAVs including small tactical systems as well as larger strategic platforms. We see a significant and growing market for unmanned military systems including aircrafts, submersibles as well as land vehicles. We are actively engaged in this sector with development ongoing. We expect to see increased traction from this sector over the coming years."
